So Precious

Last week I was approached by the mom of one of my students, and she was very concerned because her son was telling her that he did not want to go to school. This surprised me since this boy was usually very happy in class, but the mom seemed extremely worried and this caused me to also be worried. A little history... at the end of last year I was able to observe in the teacher's classroom who I was taking over for. When I met this little boy, he clung to me immediately and was at my side the entire 2 1/2 hours I was there. Fast forward to last week... During class that day I approached the student and asked him why he was so sad going to school. His response: "I just want to play with you." How sweet. So now I make it a point to give this little guy a bit more attention throughout the day.
